Preliminary talk & examination

for laser treatment

The so-called laser eye surgery includes a number of methods in which ametropia is corrected by removing tissue from the cornea of the eye. The various procedures allow a significant improvement or even complete correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. The goal is that you can permanently do without wearing glasses or contact lenses after the procedure. However, not every ametropia can be corrected by laser treatment and not every eye is suitable for such an operation.

Therefore, we clarify the general suitability for one of the procedures we offer in a preliminary discussion - at our eye center in Tuchlauben or in our practice in the medical competence center in Mödling. In this course, your eyes will be thoroughly examined and measured. We will then discuss the most suitable laser method with you and explain all the steps of the procedure in detail so that you can make an informed decision for further treatment.

Different methodologies in laser interventions

Our medical team, Dr. Sheila and Dr. Alexander Fous has an enormous wealth of experience and comprehensive know-how in the implementation of laser surgical procedures. An operation is only recommended if the comprehensive preliminary examination shows a clear suitability. After determining the diopter value and measuring the astigmatism, we will talk to you about the possible procedures. We perform PRK, Lasik or Femto-Lasik procedures, among others. Each method has individual advantages under certain conditions, for example Femto-Lasik is primarily suitable for people with a very thin cornea. State-of-the-art medical devices and standards are part of our service both in the preliminary examination and in the intervention in one of Vienna's private hospitals. We stand for the highest possible quality in eye surgery, so that you can put yourself in our hands with a good feeling and anticipation of the result.
